ADMISSIONS

St Augustine’s Primary School welcomes children from all faiths and of no faith. As a voluntary aided Church of England School, we aim to provide an education based on Christian principles, and the Governors encourage all pupils to take part in Christian worship at school and at church, and to attend Religious Education lessons. The Governors of St Augustine’s offer 50 part-time places to Nursery children (25 in the morning and 25 in the afternoon) and 30 full-time places to children in each year group from Reception to Year 6. This is in accordance with government legislation which limits infant class sizes.

Where there are more applications than places available, the Governors will admit children according to the criteria which is available from the school office.

STARTING SCHOOL

When a child starts school at St Augustine’s, parents/carers
are asked to help us fill in some forms giving us family, health and dietary information and home, work and emergency contact numbers. We keep this confidential information on a computer system.

You will also be expected to sign our Home-School Agreement (which every school is required by law to have). It is a record of the responsibilities of the home and school to work in partnership in the best interests of our children’s progress and well-being.
