ABOUT US
St Augustine’s is a Church of England Primary School with a maximum of
260 places for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 11. Children
may start in our part-time Nursery from their third birthday and may
attend in the morning or the afternoon.
Following on from Nursery, applications can be made
for children to join our Reception class, and, if allocated a place,
they can then stay with us until they leave for secondary school
aged 11.
Our school was founded in 1895 by the Sisters of the Church and occupies
two late Victorian red-brick buildings next to St Augustine’s High
School; to which approximately three-quarters of our Year 6 pupils
transfer each year. Years 1 - 6 are housed in the original three-story
school building, whilst the Nursery and Reception classes are located
in a former house dating from 1884, which belonged to the Sisters. |
